The summer school is intended to bring together all participants of the SQUARE project as well as groups in the field of Rare Earth Ion quantum information to introduce the state of the art in quantum computing and quantum communication in established platforms, i.e. trapped ions and superconducting qubits, as well as the approaches and perspectives for future implementations with individual rare earth ions.
